These panels use the latest technology to offer an innovative new way to bring you more power in less space. REC’s proven n-type mono solar panel half-cut cells mean high power with better efficiency and quality. If you’re looking for the most efficient cell technology in the industry, then look no further than the REC N-Peak 2 Series ‘Twin’ cell layout design.
The Mono N-Type panel is the most efficient C-Si technology available with up to 375 Wp in a 60-cell panel. These panels capture more sunlight giving you more power production with fewer panels. REC’s 120 half-cut bifacial mono C-Si N-Type cells give you higher panel efficiency with more power and better quality. REC’s twin-cell design splits the panel into two sections which allows for continued energy production even when the panel is partially shaded.
LID stands for Light Induced Degradation. When a standard panel is first exposed to sunlight the power generation of the panel is degraded due to the mixing of boron and oxygen inside a cell. This causes a permanent drop in the panel's performance for the rest of its lifetime. This is not the case with the REC N-Peak 2 panels which have zero LID. These panels use n-type technology that prevents boron and oxygen from mixing and causing Light Induced Degradation.
Conventional panels offer 5400 Pa (Pascal) of weight force placed on top of it. The REC N-Peak 2 panels allow loads of up to 7000 Pa. This is due to extra support bars on the rear of the panel which increases the durability of the panel. The slimmer frame design also makes the installation process easier. Plus there’s less chance of these panels being damaged during transportation with the new strengthened design.
The installation process varies depending on your location, permitting requirements, and homeowner association rules. The completion time can range from just a few weeks to several months depending on the size of the project and the permits required to set up your new solar system.
Worry not, a Forme Solar project manager will guide you through the solar installation process every step of the way. They will even help you to obtain the proper permits and deal with your utility company – making your experience as easy and seamless as possible.
Solar panel systems cost between $3,500 to $35,000 depending on the type, model, and state you live in. Sunnier states typically have better incentive programs in place. Solar panels can help save you money on your energy bills, but it's essential to know the overall startup costs for a solar panel system so you can budget accordingly. REC solar panels were founded in Norway in 1996 and have grown into a top solar system company over the years - producing 1.5 GW of solar panels annually. REC is a vertically integrated company which means the different stages of production are handled within the company - not having to rely on external contractors or suppliers. REC has headquarters in Norway and in Singapore employing more than 2,000 people across the world.
REC has five series of solar panels, all of which vary in efficiency. The REC N Peak series are the most efficient panels with an efficiency rating of 19.8%. Out of the five series of REC panel systems, efficiency can range from 15.2% to 19,8% depending on which model you choose.
Solar panels can potentially increase your home’s value compared to similar homes with no solar panels. Solar panels help reduce monthly electricity bills and are an enticing feature to homebuyers over properties that solely depend on electricity from the grid.
When purchasing a REC solar panel system, you have several options: an upfront cash payment, a solar loan, and other financing types as well. You can choose whichever option makes the most sense for your situation.
